Information architecture

CRE8IVE's approach to all digital projects involves substantial planning and testing prior to any design being undertaken. This is to ensure that the final product is not simply aesthetically appealing, but achieves set goals, is fully functional and accommodates for future growth.

Where possible, a review of the current website as well as consultation with key stakeholders help identify the objectives, target audiences and required features of the future website. From this, we plan and prepare the information architecture so that content can be accessed in a logical and efficient manner. The information architecture forms the initial menu structure that also influences what features are on key web pages. To visually prepare these features, we compose website wireframes for review and discussion. These are essentially the blueprints of a website and ensure the functionality and generic layout of appropriate pages meet the website objectives before and visual design is applied.

Wireframes are a useful milestone in the project process so that all parties are aware of the website functionality and layout. Amending the wireframes is significantly quicker to turnaround than amending the creative design. We encourage collaborative feedback to ensure the final product is the best possible solution for you.

Once the wireframes have been signed off, our design studio has a great head start on producing the creative concept as generic layout and functional requirements are clearly and logically predefined.
