The Canberra Brickworks in Yarralumla, was established in 1913 and has played a significant role in the building of the Nation’s Capital.
Following extensive community engagement, the Land Development Agency (LDA) presented an opportunity to local and national developers to suggest ways in which the historic site could be repurposed and revitalised, to enrich the Canberra cityscape with something entirely different.
CRE8IVE was given with the opportunity to work with the LDA, to create a visual identity for the renewal of the historic Brickworks site.
We developed a strong brand mark and visual identity that reflected the idea of ‘old meets new’ – a brand that respected the heritage of the site, but conveyed the endless possibilities of a new and revitalised hub, located on the city’s doorstep.
As part of the project, CRE8IVE worked closely with the LDA to create key messaging, a high-end sales prospectus package, press advertising, site signage and a sales flyer.
The sales material and messaging successfully secured a preferred tenderer, with the right proposal for the site, with the announcement made in April 2017.
"Local Canberra developer Doma Group was selected as the preferred tender for the Canberra Brickworks development with a proposal for a ‘garden city’ that meets the requirements of 380 residential dwellings in a mix of stand-alone houses, terraces, and apartments designed to harmonise with the character of the site and existing Yarralumla streetscapes."
