Capital Property Group approached CRE8IVE to help with branding for their impressive new precinct in the centre of Canberra’s CBD. It comprises of two buildings – an ACT Government office building and a stand-alone tower with 20,000 sq. metres of space. Amongst the amenities, the tower will include a hotel, and food and beverage establishments.
To ensure Constitution Place made its mark, we undertook extensive research. We found the precinct was a true convergence of new ideas – public and private, old and new, commerce and culture. This was a compelling narrative to communicate. We took the idea of ‘convergence’ and created messaging to inspire potential tenants and showcase the building’s greater amenity.
The brandmark and visual language portrays movement, change and transition, and references the architecture and visual motifs of the two buildings designed by acclaimed architects Bates Smart. These motifs were in turn inspired by the triangles and circles of Burley Griffin’s original Canberra plan.
The project was completed to include drone video of the sites panoramic views, on site signage, a first impressions prospectus and a unique invitation to the launch event using a laser cut lenticular die.
