A small family business approached us to help them with the new café opening in Civic. As a corner Café, lined with tiles and touches of brass, it’s an Italian eatery with a twist of modernity. They required a brand identity and logo to match their chic fitout. The owners pride themselves on their quality ingredients, carefully sourced from authentic Italian providers.
We recognised their need to have a range of tools and templates so they could take control of their brand as needed.
The owner requested something ‘Ferrari red’ to go with the centrepiece of their fitout – an impressive Italian coffee machine. Taking influences from post-war Italian industrial and automotive design, we created a brand identity that re-interprets the era’s feel of playful modernism. The result is bright, lively and fun.
We gave their brand a hint of Italian personality by using expressive language and both Italian and English phrases on their menus.
We created a logo, visual language, coffee cups, menu templates and a website.
